Eligibility

i)              In-service teachers with two years of full-time teaching experience in Tamil Nadu (Primary / Secondary / Higher Secondary / Matriculation Schools) recognized by the State / Central Government, are eligible to apply.

ii)                  Educational qualification:  In-service teachers   who have passed the UG degree in the following subjects can apply for B.Ed. through distance mode:

Tamil, English, Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics/ Physics/ Geo-physics /Bio-Physics / Applied Physics/Electronics/  Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry/ Bio-Chemistry/Botany, Environmental Science / Bio- Technology/ Plant Biology/ Zoology/ Micro-biology/History /Geography/ Applied Geography / Computer Science/ Computer Applications, Information Technology. Candidates with other subjects are not eligible.

OR

a Post- Graduate degree in Economics /Commerce/Home Science, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy, Logic and Indian Culture.

Selection will be made on the basis of the performance in the Entrance Exam and by following the Government Norms.
